My name is Edmundo Varela Lema, and I have the honour to hold the representation of all the Industrial Technical  Engineers in the province of A Coruña as their Dean . Before going on,  I would like to welcome people from all over the world that approach to our web site to get interested about this Professional College in A Coruña, its members, and the activities  developed in the field of engineering in Spain.

Our College is part  of the organisation that groups the Technical Engineers in Spain, and it is located  in the Region of Galicia, in the Northwest of Spain, just at the North of Portugal, in the province of A Coruña. This area counts on a very significant industrial activity, having an important production initiative in A Coruña, and both in the other main towns of the province, Ferrol and Santiago de Compostela. It is important to take into account electricity production, reaching a significant place with a considerable exportation. Petrochemical industry and its derivatives, as well as naval stores, are other two main sectors internationally renowned, where  our College ‘s members carry out their technical activity.

But, there is also a considerable amount of associated working as Engineering Professors at A Coruña Universtiy (Escuela Universitaria Politécnica), training new generations of professionals to obtain their Industrial Technical Engineer’s degree.
